Section 5
Registration of trade union federation
: (1) At least ten trade union associations can form a trade union federation by mutual agreement.
(2) In order to register the trade union federation formed according to sub-section (1), the official appointed by the working committee shall submit a copy of the agreement between the trade union associations, the statute of the trade union federation and the prescribed regulations, along with the prescribed details, and submit an application to the registrar in the prescribed format.< br> (3) On the application filed under sub-section (2), the registrar shall register such trade union federation and issue a certificate of registration to the applicant in the prescribed format within fifteen days from the date of application or if additional details are requested as per section 6. br> (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), no trade union association shall be a member of more than one trade union federation at the same time.
(5) After the trade union federation is registered according to sub-section (3), even if the number of members of such trade union federation decreases up to ten percent, the registration of such trade union federation shall be maintained for one year.
